Quality Control

At RK Wood Industries, quality isn't an afterthought — it's built into every stage of our process. From sourcing verification to final dispatch, every batch of timber passes through our rigorous multi-point quality assurance system.

Our 6-Point Quality System

01

Source Verification

Every batch is traceable to government-certified, ecologically responsible sourcing zones. No timber from protected forests.

02

Dimensional Grading

Trained staff visually grade and measure every piece — checking for knots, splits, warp, and dimensional accuracy.

03

Kiln Drying (4 Chambers)

Controlled drying in our 4 seasoning chambers brings moisture to 8-12%. Temperature and humidity monitored throughout.

04

Moisture Verification

Calibrated moisture meters verify post-seasoning moisture content on sample pieces from every batch.

05

Pressure Impregnation

Anti-termite and anti-fungal chemicals forced deep into wood cells at 10-14 kg/cm² pressure for 15-25 year protection.

06

Litmus Treatment Test

Cross-sections tested with chemical indicators to confirm preservative penetration has reached the core, not just the surface.

Quality FAQs

What moisture content do you guarantee?

We target 8-12% moisture content for furniture-grade timber, verified with calibrated digital moisture meters. For specific export requirements, we can achieve tighter tolerances.

How do you ensure anti-termite treatment quality?

After pressure impregnation, we conduct litmus (indicator) tests on cross-cut samples. The chemical indicator changes color where the preservative has penetrated, visually confirming treatment quality.

What grading standards do you follow?

We follow industry-standard visual grading practices, sorting timber by: defect level (knots, splits, warp), grain consistency, color uniformity, and dimensional accuracy. We can grade to buyer-specific standards on request.

Do you provide quality certificates?

Yes. We provide moisture certificates, treatment certificates, and can arrange third-party inspection and testing for export orders.

Need Quality Assurance Documentation?

We provide moisture certificates, treatment reports, and can arrange third-party inspections for your orders.
